November 1 - 5, 2021  No school  on Tuesday!  Voting  ~ Since Tuesday is an election day, our class decided to hold their own election for the Cutest Animal.  We have campaigns for a cat, a dog, and a monkey. We have been working all week on posters and speeches. On Monday we'll be visiting the First Grade to conduct a vote to see who wins! Please turn in the  October Reading Log  if you haven't done so already.
October 25 - 29, 2021 October Reading Log ~ Only 1 more week to read for the month of October! I already have a few turned in. Yay!  Spelling Homework ~ Just wanted to mention that spelling homework can be completed at school as well as home.  Some of our students have after school activities so this may help shift the load a bit.
October 18 - 22, 2021  Field Trip ~ Wow! What a great field trip to Landis Valley. Many wanted to stay longer but we had to move onto lunch. 👍   I took pictures of everyone so I'll try to edit and send a few to you this weekend.  Spelling ~ I sent home an October Spelling Menu on Thursday. These homework choices will be used the entire month so please keep them.  Pumpkins were also sent home on Thursday so check those bags! I'm always afraid they'll get lost somewhere and be found after they turn to mush.
October 11 - 15, 2021  Grandparent's Day was a success!  I was so proud of my class that I smiled the rest of the day.  Field Trip ~ Our trip to the Landis Valley Museum is Friday.  We plan to leave at 8:45 so please bring your child to school at regular time. Science ~ We have finished our History unit and have moved onto studying the States of Matter.  This is always a fun unit!
October 4 - 8, 2021  Pumpkin Heads! I sent home some small pumpkins today.  We are making characters from books that we used for our book reports. I'm hoping they made it home safely!  Looking forward to meeting all the special grandparents on Friday!
