October 31 - November 4, 2022   A few reminders for this week.  October Reading Log is due Wednesday.  This is our first one of the year.  If your child lost their page, let me know and I'll send another home this week.  Pictures were sent home on Thursday. If your child needs to have a retake or was absent, the photographer will be here Wednesday. Enjoy the beautiful weekend!
October 24 - 28, 2022   It's been another good week.  I loved the State Projects!  Your children are getting better at oral reports every time they get in front of the class.  I'm very proud of all the effort they put into their posters. They are now on display in the Middle School hallway.   History Maps ~ We did our salt dough maps last week.  They are finally dry enough to paint!  Can't wait to see the finished product. 😁
October 17 - 21, 2022  We had a great time with Mrs. Janes today.  She spent her free afternoon instructing us on how to make doughnuts out of baby pumpkins! They were still a bit wet so they are drying on our desks to travel home on Monday.  😁  I will be listening to verses on Thursday this week because  I will not be at school on Friday.  Mrs. Kate Price will be subbing that day. If you have any questions, please ask.
October 10 -14, 2022      Grandparent's Day  was a success!  It was fun meeting new grandparents as well as visiting with some from past years when siblings were in my class.  Everyone seemed to enjoy the morning. 😁 Columbus Day  ~ No school on Monday due to Teacher Inservice. History Projects ~ Assignments were sent home this week.  These are due on October 19th. I've heard that some students have already begun their work. I'm impressed!
September 26 - 30, 2022   We have finished Science and started History!  It will be an interesting unit on map skills.  Picture Day is Wednesday.  If you haven't sent in the order form and plan to do so, please send it by Wednesday.
September 19 - 23, 2022   It's been another good week.  Next week may be a bit challenging.  It seems all our subjects are finishing the first chapter.  We all know that means a test in those subjects.  I made sure your child will only have 1 test each day. If you have any questions, please let me know.
September 12 - 16, 2022  Spelling Homework ~ I was very happy with those students who turned in their 2 Spelling  homework assignments on Thursday. If your child did not finish these, they have another chance to show me how responsible they can be by turning in this week's assignments.  There should be a Spelling List and assignment sheet in the Home Folder this evening. Grandparent's Day ~ We have been working hard on our performance! I'm so proud of your children. They have learned everything so far, with a smile! Now 3 more verses to go....  Boxcar Projects ~ Our projects will be on display Monday in the connecting hallway (close to our classroom) after our oral presentations.  I'm looking forward to hearing how they were made.
